AP Statistics Unit 4 – Inference for Quantitative Data: Means
Projects and Activities Bundle
Bring Unit 4 to life with this collection of engaging projects and activities for AP® Statistics. This bundle is designed to reinforce key concepts for quantitative inference: from sampling distributions, confidence intervals, and hypothesis testing, while helping students think critically, analyze real data, and apply statistical reasoning.
Aligned to the new 2026/27 AP® Statistics Course and Exam Description (CED), these activities go beyond notes and homework to give students meaningful, hands-on practice with the contents of this unit.
What’s Included:
6 ready-to-use projects and activities, all fully editable and designed for easy classroom implementation. Files are provided in Word or PowerPoint format, along with PDFs, answer keys, and rubrics where appropriate.
Activities & Projects:
Creating a Confidence Interval with the Presidents Activity
Students create and compare the differences between a one sample z test for proportions and one sample t test for means.
Testing a Claimed Mean with M&Ms Activity
Students test a real-world claim on a bag of fun-sized M&Ms.
Inference Games Activity
Students compete in 3 games to answer three statistical investigative questions around a matched pairs T Interval and a two-sample T interval.
Inference Investigator Activity
Students read through 12 different scenarios and identify appropriate inference procedures that need to be run to answer the investigative question being asked.
Unit 4 Project: Taste Test Comparison
In this project, students collect data and perform both a matched pairs t-test and a matched pairs t-interval.
Jeopardy Review Game
Students review unit topics in a classic game-show style review game.
Key Features:
- 100 percent editable files to fit your teaching style
- PDF versions and answer keys included
- Strong alignment to the 2026–2027 AP® Statistics CED
- Designed for real classrooms with clear instructions and structure
These activities are also included in Goldie’s AP® Statistics Full Curriculum, the complete Unit 4 curriculum bundle, and Goldie's AP® Statistics Projects & Activities Bundle, making them easy to integrate into a full course plan.
