Coding Projects with Using Objects

The material covered in these projects aligns with Unit 2 of the AP® CSA CED. These projects ask students to code in the Java programming language.

All projects come with both the editable WORD document, the PDF version, as well as an answer key. You will have the ability to change directions or edit anything to fit your own classroom needs.

Down on the Farm Project – Students create 3 farm animal objects to practice the class template with instance variables and constructors.

Exploring the Math Class Project – Students use the math methods from the Java Quick Reference, as well as methods not on the AP Exam, to achieve a goal.

Mad Libs Project – Students use indexOf() and substring() methods to create a Mad Libs program.

Note: Since the projects above align with Unit 2 of the AP CSA CED, none of the programs use conditionals or iterations.
